G-Rock Music with Beyond Intent Music Group presents “Sisters in the Name of Love” to be held February 8, 2013 from 9PM to 1AM. Doors open at 8:30PM.

This promises to be an unforgettable night of music with some of the most captivating performances South Florida has seen in many years. Like the event of the same name from the 80s with Patti LaBelle, Dionne Warwick, and Gladys Knight, this show features women who are sisters in music with a passion for performing. At the first Sisters in the Name of Love concert, those women sang covers of their favorite songs and this event follows suit with well-known cover songs as well as original compositions.

We are pleased to announce that this event is also sponsored by Women’s and Gender Studies, FIU and The Sunshine Jazz Organization.

Sisters in the Name of Love will feature:

Nadia Turner who wowed millions of viewers around the world with her beautiful, sultry voice, and unique sense of style on American Idol FOX TV 4th Season. Nadia made it to the top eight finalists of more than 100,000 contestants. In addition to the forty-three city U.S. and Canada American Idol tour, Turner has performed for several world leaders at the G8 Summit in Japan and the troops in Afghanistan.
